Regardless of membership level in the IWP, all members who attend an SLI are considered Teacher Consultants, per the NWP model. Those who are paid for providing Professional Development in schools as IWP Consultants must first serve as interns with a veteran/experienced IWP PD consultant.

Leadership Team Member

  • Requirements:
    • One or more years of active involvement as an IWP Teacher Consultant beyond participation in the SLI
    • Commitment to attending at least 2/3 of weeknight and Saturday team meetings annually
  • Responsibilities:
    • Participate in decision making as a voting member
    • Participate in internal PD
    • Participate in committee work
    • Assist with at least one IWP-sponsored event per year
    • May take on additional leadership roles

Associate Member

  • Requirements:
    • Completion of IWP Summer Leadership Institute
    • Commitment to attending at least half of weeknight and Saturday team meetings annually
  • Responsibilities:
    • Participate in internal PD
    • Participate in committee work
    • Participate in decision making as a consulting member

Affiliate Member

  • Requirements:
    • One or more years of active involvement as an IWP Teacher Consultant beyond participation in the SLI
    • Commitment to attending 2 or more meetings annually
  • Responsibilities:
    • Complete a specific project that can be done on own time
    • Participate in decision making as a consulting member

Supporting Member

  • Requirements:
    • Completion of IWP Summer Leadership Institute
  • Responsibilities:
    • No participation commitment; receive news updates and notices of events

Emeritus Member

  • Requirements:
    • Past Leadership Team member
  • Responsibilities:
    • Attend meetings when available
    • Provide insights and guidance as requested
